U’khand on path of becoming economic powerhouse: Painuly

The Co-Convener of the Economic Cell of state BJP Rajeshwar Painuly has said that Investor Summit provides a two-way platform for showcasing of the Government as well as of Investors. Both sides get an opportunity to show their strengths and profiles.

Interacting With media, Painuly said that With his aim Uttarakhand Government is organizing 2-day long Global Investor Summit 2023 on 8-9 December,2023. It will be a platform for business delegations, corporate leaders, academia, Innovators and Government leadership from across the globe, to collectively explore business opportunities and partnerships in the state of Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand has a diverse portfolio of niche tourism products which includes , adventure, medical, wellness, sports such as Water sports, Ice Sports, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions), AI data backup storages its development opportunities, ecotourism, film, rural and spiritual tourism and the . “Uttarakhand has been rapidly transforming itself into an economic powerhouse. Proximity to the National Capital Region Uttarakhand has emerged as a preferred Investment destination.

An abode to the Himalayas and the Ganges, the State is home to 5 top tourism destinations of India. Uttarakhand Government has created a conducive environment for the Industries by reducing more than 2000 compliances and decriminalizing clauses that have been in practice for ages. Boasting one of the lowest incidences of work disruptions due to strikes, Uttarakhand provides a stable and conducive environment for business operations.

It got around 50 million domestic tourists and over 0.25 million foreign visitors.It hosts seven Industrial Estates across various regions, covering a vast 8000+ acres and housing over 2000 industrial units. The state prioritizes renewable energy, aiming to harness over 25,000 MW of hydropower potential. Pushkar Singh Dhami had a series of road shows held in Delhi,Mumbai Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, London, Birmingham, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, to woo investors and successfully signed an MOU with around 75 Investors for approx. Rs, 1,00,000/- Crs.

The young dynamic Dhami under the National Leadership of PM Narendra Modi is working hard with devotion to get Uttarakhand as first Choice of National and International Investment at reasonable cost with maximum output in shape of per capita income and employment.
